Waiting is the Greatest Part

I leave to Vegas tonight.

This is the first I’ve been to Vegas since I turned 21. I’ve been countless times as a kid for gymnastics meets but never to party and gamble. So needless to say, I’m pretty excited.

I’ve been counting down for a month. I’ve been in an incredibly good mood in a rather un-incredible week at work. So, this made me think. If we don’t have fun things in our life to look forward to, we are less happy. Everyone needs to have plans. Whether it is an exciting trip, a party you’ve planned, or a night out with friends or your significant other--you need to break through the monotony that is everyday life. It’s funny I say that because I am very busy, between the 9-5 as well as coaching optional gymnasts, but I believe it still stands true for me. Also, you are a happy person when you spend money on experiences rather than material objects. Just think like this, that materiel object will eventually break or become outdated, but that incredible memory will last forever. And haven’t you noticed great experiences somehow become better in your mind over time? Funny how that works…

Wish me luck!

Happy Living, Tachi
